Web Developer (WordPress)

Job Description

We are seeking a Web Developer (WordPress) who is passionate about working in a start-up and fast paced company. This person will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development and make the design as accurate as possible.

This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and WordPress). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.

What you’ll do

  • Create landing pages from scratch without using any page builders
  • Work collaboratively with the design team
  • Implement the design features and functionality based on the given style guide
  • Update the website regularly using wpengine.com
  • Help the team to formulate an effective, responsive design
  • Implement server-side functionalities based on the given requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-4 Yrs experience in Web Development and WordPress
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
  • Experience designing and developing responsive design websites;
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
  • Must have knowledge of using APIs
